Approve all capital expenditures and track all capital expenditures for these sites. Created useful tools to show cause of change analysis for year over year or forecast to forecast changes analyzing direct wages and breaking out variances into wage rate, volume, and productivity variances. Responsible for forecasting and analysis of all packaging costs, estimated $4 million annual in purchases.

Service Operations & IT Finance Manager (2008-current)
Subject Matter Expert for Activity Based Costing Model for all Humana Service Operations (approximately 10,000 employees). Develop and maintain tools to pull data from multiple platform systems in a usable format to track any customer’s direct overhead expenses. Utilizes Access (two million records in 2008 database) and Excel providing valuable metrics for Senior Management to see what groups cost Humana money which leads to the why?.
Creation of an Excel tool utilized by all IT Vice Presidents and Finance to illustrate expenses based on user-selected filters. This tool shows trends and comparisons to budget, including charts and projections. Uses Visual Basic to implement passwords sets for various access within the Excel tool. Savings of five hours per month from data automation.
Developed tool for SOP 98-1 Capitalization of IT Project time. Automation of data extract from IT Time Entry System to provide Finance an accrual based on all projects that IT does for Company. Savings of 10 hours per month and increase in efficiency and accuracy.
Creation of database which tracks quarterly pay incentive plans for 2,500 associates across Green Bay, Louisville, Tampa, and Cincinnati tracking quality metrics and calculating bonus payouts based on criteria established by Senior Management. Gives supervisors ability to update their rosters and gives managers and directors a scorecard of all of their associate’s data.
